&Pizza Takes NYC

New York City, once a town almost exclusively dominated by slice joints, has in recent years, become fertile ground for other styles of pizza ranging from wood-fired Neapolitan pies to crispy-edged Detroit-style squares. The New York pizza landscape of 2017 is far more diverse than it was even five years ago and New Yorker's are becoming more comfortable trying new styles of pie from other regions.  Last month, DC-based, fast-casual pizzeria &Pizza opened their first NYC location on 28th St in Manhattan, bringing with them a new pizza concept that puts more control into the hands of the customer.

At &Pizza, eaters choose from a collection of signature pizzas or craft their own pie selecting from a variety of options including dough, sauce, cheese, veggies, proteins and (here's where it gets really interesting) post-oven finishes!  Now, in addition to finishes like fresh arugula and pickled red onions, customers can drizzle Mike's Hot Honey on any custom pie!

Once topping selections are made, the skate board-shaped pie passes through a super hot conveyor oven arriving on the other side 90 seconds later bubbly and ready for post-oven finishes.  If you prefer to leave the topping decision-making up to the pie experts, try one of &'s signature pies.  The new American Honey pie (pictured below) features pre-oven spicy tomato sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni and post-oven finishes of arugula, red pepper flakes, goat cheese and a healthy drizzle of Mike's Hot Honey (yes, GOAT CHEESE & MIKE'S HOT HONEY on PIZZA!!!!).
